Optical Method for Processing Information Depicted by Picture

摘要

Human beings recognize instantaneously and compre-hensively the information displayed by pictures rather than linguistic expression. This paper presents the idea of a new information processing system that can transform and convey the ambiguous and diverse information of pictures to the viewers. A picture displays information geometrically and describes a story using symbols. The author proposed a massively parallel optical fuzzy-neural network which can deal with large quantity of data in parallelism and high speed to process the information in pictures. This paper demonstrates that the system implemented using this optical fuzzy-neural network can catch and pursue a particular figure optically like human beings.
