Use of specially fine metal mesh electrodes could stabilize a homogeneous glow discharge at atmospheric pressure in an ozonizer even when applying an electric source of 50 Hz. We gave a report on oxygen ozonizers with fine metal mesh electrodes at the 11th Congress; here, nitrogen oxide formation which occurs along with ozone formation in an air ozonizer is examined. The diameters of wires which are used in the metal mesh exert a large effect on ozone formation efficiencies and on nitrogen oxide concentrations in the ozonizers.
