Regardless of your involvement in independent power -whether you are a customer, developer, a supplier, or an investor, you should be aware of and concerned about a growing trend in the industry. That trend is a diversion of resources - and, consequently, power projects - away from the U.S. to international markets. I recently heard something that I thought I'd never hear - that independent power developers are looking more and more at international markets because they pose less risk than U.S. markets. Clearly, if that is the case, something is broken here at home ... and we need to get it fixed!
