High flexural strength is one of the main characteristics of cementitious materials produced by extrusion moulding. First, the results of general survey on flexural strength of various types of cementitious materials are reported in this paper. Secondly, experimental relationships between flexural strength and water cement ratio are discussed, which is the unique scale of presenting strength of cementitious materials such concrete and mortar produced by casting methods. Last, a method for predicting the relationships between flexural strength and productivity of the materials is introduced.Because of improving preciseness of products and efficiency of production, materials and mix proportions are specially prepared to be extruded effectively in actual factories unlike ordinary cementitious materials. In this paper, standardized materials are selected for the examinations of extrusion moulding. As a result, flexural strength can be acturalized up to a little less than 30 MPa. High specific flexural strength to surface dried density is actualized. The fundamentally dominant factors of material properties and mix proportions are clarified, and a method for determining the compatible combination between the two types of the dominant factors from the both points of productivity and flexural behaviors is proposed.
