We have newly developed a self-supported aerial drop for the new FATTH system. Since the cable has both optical and power elements with stranded around a strength member without sheath, the cable can be easily dropped and place. Therefore, the newly developed composite drop cable is suitable for the cable from the access point to the drop point. The cable has excellent optical and electric characteristics. Also, it has satisfactory mechanical properties, such as bending, compression, and squeezing.
