The 6th gen. Intelligent Power Module for Large Capacity Type

摘要

Newly developed 6th generation V-series IPM (V-IPM) for high power rating package (package name:P631) is described in this paper. The V-IPM has lower dissipation power loss,high reliability and low radiation noise emission compared to the conventional IPM. To reduce the total power loss, the new IGBT (FS-IGBT) has advanced micro-p structures,and new control IC is developed.In addition,using new structural technologies, the surge voltage,ΔTc power cycle capability and radiation noise are improved. The V-IPM with P631 package will correspond to the market demands and make the system designing easier.
