Strut-and-tie model for large reinforced deep beams

The study-and-tie model presented here is used to predict the ultimate shear strengthjs of einforced deep beams. In additiona to 233 deep beam data collected from past re-search works. precictions from the proposed model are compared with two studies of deep bemas tested in-house; viz. Study I comprising 22 reinforced beams with different main steel ratios, and Study II of 12 large reinforced beams with overall higgt ranging from 500 to 1750 mm.
