Levels of nonlinearity in frame analysis

This paper discusses the development and accuracy of various models for nonlinear frame analysis. Starting with a general extensible elastica model, we derive a family of simplified models by truncation of the nonlineary terms. We consider various examples to demonstrate the range of validity and accuracy of the tesulting models.
