One of the important characteristics in the transition region is that crossflow vortices tend to appear quite stable at the position where they started to appear at first.Therefore,it is quite possible to groove streamwise suction slits along the crossflow vortices acurately.Taking such flow situation in mind,we got an idea that it may be effective if we could suck selectively such low momentum flow being gathered by the streamwise vortices under their foot regions before they are pumpoed up.In order to do so,selective suction holes are grooved to the swept flat plate of the present model.
