In the perspective of active flow control,an indirect approach is proposed, using a low-order model-following strategy.the objective of the control is to make the flow dynamics follow the dynamics of a given target reference flow. Both dynamics are written under the form of low order ordinary differential equations which approximate the partial differential equations.the first step is the derivation of such low order models, using proper orthodgonal decompositin techniques. The second step is the design of the controller to achieve convenient model following. The equations for the derivation of the controller are given.A distributed paameterizaion is proposed for the state feeback case.
