摘要

A novel method on measuring rapidly the content of active MgO is studied, and the principle and the experiment methods are introduced too. The experiment data show the citric acid method has lots of advantages, such as simple principle, cheap apparatus, easy operation and high measurement precision. The average relative error of measurement is about ± 1% when the method is applied to measure the content of active MgO in caustic burned magnesia.
