摘要

Today, the time-to-market for plastic products are getting shorter, thus the lead-time for makingrninjection mould is decreasing. Time can be saved in the mould design stage because design process that isrnrepeatable for every mould design can be standardized. The preliminary work of any final mould design is tornalways provide an initial design of the mould assembly for customers prior to receiving the final product CADrndata. The information used for the initial design is based on the technical discussion checklist, in which mostrnmould makers have their own standards. A methodology of providing the initial design in 3D solid based on thisrnchecklist, which acts as the overall standard template, will be presented. Every sub-design would also have theirrnindividual standard template.
