Study on Automobile Exhaust Varying with Test Modes

Vehicle Mass Analysis System(Vmas), produced in USA late 1990s, is used to measure the emission of a light truckrnCA1020F according to exhaust legislation. The test result shows that it is viable to measure and evaluate automobile emission withrnVmas. HC is mainly produced when the car is decelerating. The throttle valve suddenly closes and the engine velocity has a suddenrndecrease in the course of automobile's slowdown. CO and NO_x are mainly produced during the combustion process of increasingrnengine power. The methods of reducing automobile emission are studied.
