A comparison has been made in various Fe promoted CuMnZrO_2 catalysts. The results indicated that higher Fe content on thesurface and stronger interaction between Cu and Fe are necessary for higher alcohols synthesis. The F-m has a higher surface atomic radio of Fe/Cu, and the F-co has a stronger interaction of molecule. But the catalyst prepared with wetness impregnation has a higher surface atomic radio of Fe/Cu as well as a stronger interaction of molecule. So the F-wi catalyst showed a good performance in higher alcohols synthesis.
