Poly(vinyl butyral) (PVB) is the tough polymer film widely used as the interlayer in safety glass laminates such as automotive windshields. Blends containing recycled PVB have received much attention recently due to the increase of the cost of raw material and the abundance of PVB wastes. In this work, blends of thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) and recycled PVB film with different ratio were prepared by using twin-screw extruder. The blends were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, tensile machine analysis, and rotational rheometry. The IR result determined that the occurrence of hydrogen bonding between TPEE and PVB. The temperature dependence of Han - curve of the blend gradually decreased with the increase of the content of PVB. The tensile strength, elongation at break and tear strength of the blends decreased obviously with the increase of the content of PVB. The reason is that the micro phase separation structure of TPEE is affected by the introduction of the PVB due to the hydrogen bonding interaction.
