This paper shows a comparison analysis of mechanical properties of TRIP (Transformation InducedrnPlasticity) effect steel wires with different carbon content, classified into a group of AHSS (AdvancedrnHigh-Strength Steel) steels, which are the multiphase steels offering a unique combination of highrnstrength and ductility. This combination is achieved through the transformation of retained austenite tornmartensite in the TRIP deformation process. The decrease of carbon content influences the amount ofrnretained austenite in the steel structure and consequently the mechanical properties of the drawn wire.
