Evolution trend of the stream regime and failure risk of training structures in LYR were analyzed with the field data. The results indicate that the channel bar soft beach and shoal have presented decreasing trend; The channel has been becoming a relatively single main channel; the wandering amplitude of main steam has been limited in a narrow range. And the training works play an important role in steadying and controlling of stream regime. But river channel still can' t keep steady mainly due to the existence of the second class suspended river and erosible river bank. And the stream regime could change greatly under the condition of big flood and high sediment concentration. And the results also indicate that scouring on bank top and defect of dykes is major causes of the training structures failure.
