FIRE DAMAGES TO TUNNEL LININGS AND FIRE PROTECTION MEASURES

摘要

Based on the investigations and fire experiments, fire damages to tunnel linings and fire protection measures were studied. The results show fire will do a lot of damage to the tunnel lining in terms of concrete spalling, deterioration of impermeability durability and reduction of mechanical characteristics, etc. Furthermore, the experiments indicate that adding polypropylene fibre to partial concrete mixture is a valuable measure to prevent the tunnel lining from spalling without severe damage to concrete impermeability durability.
