摘要

According to fracture mechanics, the cracking behavior due to surface evaporation flux is studied, and the methods of quantitative analysis (crack depth, spacing) are developed in this paper. Based on quantitative analysis of crack, analysis on the slope stability of expansive soils considering the effect of crack and rain infiltration have been investigated, in which the methods with and without cracks are compared. The safety factors of the slope stability descend fast with crack during rain, and the magnitude of changes is 0.4 during 72 hours rain duration. The result obtained from the paper shows that rain infiltration and slope stability analysis, considering drying cracks, is more reasonable and practical.
