UTILIZATION OF AGRO-EXPERTS SYSTEM FOR SUGARCANE PRODUCTION IN GUANGXI, CHINA

摘要

Utilization of information technology in agriculture is an important approach and the landmark for agriculture modernization. It is an un-jumpable historical process from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture. The data base with core of agricultural information management system and the agricultural experts system with core of knowledge base are the two major trends in agricultural modernization process in China. This paper analyzed and discussed the advantages and constraints in its research, demonstration and expanding process of sugarcane cultivation experts system in Guangxi province, China. The preliminary experts system for sugarcane cultivation showed its great potential for increasing of yield, quality, production efficiency, farmers' income and decreasing of production cost, environment pollution and errors of decision by farmers and technicians.
