EDISON is a database system which aims at providing users with data closely related to spacecraft operations. The registered data are carefully selected for HK telemetry from spacecraft and operation status of ground systems, such as tracking data, orbital elements, command histories and so on. The features of EDISON are that the delivered data are in physical quantities for user's convenience, and that the system does not use any commercially available database software to reduce maintenance load for the life of the satellite and more, usually longer than 5 years. The data in EDISON can be accessed using a web browser. A user can sample a part of the data, and download it as a text file of CSV format. The four EDISON systems are now in service. Here the EDISON system for low Earth orbit satellites, SUZAKU and AKARI, are explained in detail.
