This letter describes the principle of plasma electro-optical switch driving system. The system meet the use of plasma electro-optical switch system in high power ICF drivers based on the large aperture size (for example 300mm X 300mm) multipass amplifier array scheme. The systems can produce strict sequentially correlated five high-voltage strong-current pulses. The five high-voltage strong-current pulses are loaded on longitudinal Pockels cell full of inert gas through three coaxial cables. As the electro-optical switch with plasma electrodes has such unique advantages as high efficiency, fast for on/off, high precision, large aperture size and high laser damage threshold, it has become an ideal switch system for new generation of ultra-high power laser system. It is important to develop driving system of the plasma electro-optical switch system for ICF ultra-high power laser system.
