摘要

Novel Al-based composites (Al-C-Al_2O_3) obtained by Mechanical Milling (MM), were characterized by Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). From the analyzed spectra it can be deduced the appearance of chemical bonds between C and Al atoms to produce Al_4C_3 particles. Furthermore the analysis indicates that the presence of copper favors the incorporation of Al_2O_3 nanofibers into the matrix.
