摘要

In this present, the main purpose is to study the applicability of sheets of composite plate on strengthening a brick wall surrounded by a non-ductile RC frame by experiments. In the proposed testing program, three specimens of RC frame with wall will be constructed. These walls will be strengthened by two sheets of composite plate installed along diagonals, and tested under a cyclic loading. The experimental results in terms of stiffness, strength, ductility, and failure pattern will be compared with those without strengthening states. These experimental results will be valuable in understanding the behavior of a non-ductile frame having wall with and without strengthening, which will also be applied to theoretical analysis as a comparison basis.
