摘要

This paper studies effects of steel fibers and synthetic fibers on strength and toughness of high performance lightweight aggregate concrete (HPLWAC). Results show the addition of steel fibers can reinforce both strength and toughness of HPLWAC, and its flexur-al toughness index can be improved 14 times at the most, but its apparent density increases correspondingly. By adding synthetic fibers, the toughness of HPLWAC can be improved effectively with the maintenance of both its low apparent density and high strength.
