摘要

It is essential to predict hydrate formation in long distance pipeline accurately. The thermodynamics conditions for the formation of gas hydrate in long distance pipelines are analyzed in this paper. Based on the theory of statistics thermodynamics, the theory model and calculation method of predicting the hydrate formation were established. The model could predict the location where the hydrate may form and the pressure and temperature conditions for hydrate formation in that location. Compared with the conventional methods only based on the entrance pressure and temperature conditions and through comparing the calculation results with the experiment data, it is obvious that the new method has higher accuracy and the calculation is simpler.
