Thermaodynamics of orientational phase transition in fullerite C_60

摘要

A model of thermal behavior of thermoelastic medium with an internal orientation is considered in the context of the Landau theory of phase transitions. The problem of uniform heating of a body with regard to a relaxation of the order parameter is solved. A comparison with the experimental data is made, and some material parameters for the C_60 fullerite are estimated. Special features of heat capacity of this substance as a function of temperature are explained.
