摘要

The primary goal of developing passenger car safety should be the improvement of occupant protection in real-world accidents. But the complexity of all accidents is so high that today's testing procedures cannot cover all possible events which may occur on the roads. Therefore, future occupant protection systems will need to have the flexibility to address many more crash situations. Individual Safety represents an important step towards better passenger car safety by adapting the safety systems to the occupant and the crash situation. This idea will be continually improved in the years to come.
