Nano-apatite crystals(n-HA) were prepared by calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) reacting with orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4) in different solvent conditions, such as water, ethanol, glycol and ethylacetate. The structure and properties of the nano-apatite crtstals were investigated. The apatite crystals were nanocrystals shown by TEM micrographs. XRD and IR analyses showed that the nano-apatite crystals were nano-hrdroxyapatite. After n-HA powders were heated at 1000℃, the structure difference was present. The results indicate that the nano-apatite crystals prepared in different solvent conditions have different composition, crystal structure and morphology.
