A Small Size Dual-Mode Patch Filter

摘要

A small size dual-mode square patch resonator with slots etched in symmetrical shape is proposed. A low loss bandpass filter response is designed with area saving more than 75% with respect to the conventional dual-mode square patch. The filter response is obtained by exciting the degenerate modes and the first higher order mode. A filter designed on FR4 material with 4.6 dielectric constant and 1.57 mm thickness. Simulations are performed using full wave IE3D simulator. Promising results are obtained.
