We developed a model which can accurately describe the mechanical properties taking into account the chemical composition and its effect on the grain size. This was achieved via a classic description of grain growth and, in particular, an explicit formulation of the mobility of grain boundaries in which we can introduce the effect of solutes. For the case of IF-steels, the effect of precipitates on grain growth is introduced with a Zener formulation. At the present time, all the results have been obtained with the same cold-rolled reduction and annealing treatment. Further developments will be done, including the prediction of recrystallised grain size as a function of composition, reduction level and annealing cycle.
