Cost/Benefit Considerations at Swiss NPPs

The paper describes the development of a typical cost/benefit ratio, as it is currently used at Swiss nuclear power plants. This ratio is used when arguing with the authorities about the need of backfitting measures to improve safety or about the justification of relaxations in operating practice or plant design to reduce operating costs.
