A CSCW Middleware Performance Evaluation Framework

摘要

We present here detailed requirements and a framework for evaluating the performance and scalability of co-present and non co-present shared object CSCW middleware systems. The framework consists of a configurable workload generator, a set of benchmarks, and traces gathered from different types of collaborations. The realisation of the framework is discussed in King and Ringwood. This work is of relevance to those interested in evaluating the performance and scalability of CSCW middleware designs and those interested in tools for optimising and comparing the performance of co-ordinated applications.
