By preparation of electroceramic powders like leadzirconatetitanate and leadmetaniobate as piezoceramics, indiumtinoxide for transparent conductive thin films and bismuthstrontium-calciumcuprate for HTS-conductors the efficiency of a thermal two-stage process is demonstrated. By this method a variety of multinary oxide ceramic powders can be prepared if the parent substances react chemically while forming a common solution. This precursor solution which consists of heterometallic organocomplexes or saltsolutions is spray-dried and the resulting powder is reacted thermochemically in a high temperature fluidized bed system to become a sinterable ceramic powder having good compaction and shaping properties.
