摘要

In this paper the effect of pitch error on the Transmission Error (T.E.) is discussed. A spur gear pair of standard involute tooth profile is modeled in I-DEAS package. For a 1:1 gear ratio, the pair is modeled and pitch error of various magnitudes is incorporated in the model and for each change in pitch error, the effect on the T.E. is estimated. The results are plotted on the graph between angles turned vs. interference volume. From the present work, it is concluded that solid modeling technique is very useful in gear analysis.
