MEASUREMENTS OF ABSOLUTE HADRONIC BRANCHING FRACTIONS AND THE DECAY CONSTANT IN D DECAYS AT CLEO-C

I report new, preliminary, results from the CLEO-c experiment. The results presented here are based on (57.2±1.7) pb~(-1) of e~+e~- collision data taken at s~(1/2) = 3.77 GeV. For the leptonic decay D~+ → μ~+ v we obtain the branching fraction B(D~+ → μ~+ v_v) = (3.5 ± 1.4 ± 0.6) x 10~(-4) which allow us to extract the decay constant f_(D~+)= (201 ± 41 ± 17) MeV. We have also measured the hadronic branching fractions B(D~0 → K~- π~+) = (3.92 ± 0.08 ± 0.23)%, B(D~0 → K~- π~+ π~0) = (14.3 ± 0.3 ± 1.0)%, B(D~0 → K~- π~+ π~+ π~-) = (8.1 ± 0.2 ± 0.9)%, B(D~+ → K~- π~+ π~+) = (9.8 ± 0.4 ± 0.8)%, B(D~+ → K_S~0 π~+) = (1.61 ± 0.08 ± 0.15)%, and the cross section σ(e~+e~- → DD) = (6.06 ± 0.13 ± 0.23) nb.
