Dynamic Hardness: A Measure of Moisture Content of Rice Grains

The pendulum type impactor was used to see the relationship between impact energy and moisture content of rice grains and the relationship between impact energy per unit area and the moisture content of rice grains. The impact energy could be well correlated with moisture content of rice grains using linear relationship with high negative correlation coefficient (r = -0.9524). The impact energy per unit area also showed linear relationship with moisture content of rice grains with an excellent negative correlation (r = -0.9880).
