Remote Measurement and Control Based on OPC and Ethernet

摘要

This paper presented a novel scheme of remote measurement and control system based on the OPC (OLE for Process Control), Ethernet and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). The scheme realized the interconnection and the data exchange between OPC server and process devices through the CP343-1 communication processor. On the remote OPC terminal, it offered process data to the monitor_control system or offered control commands to the process devices through the OPC server's data access in VB (Visual Basic), thus the purpose of exchanging present data is attained between the lower control level and the upper management level. The practical application results indicate that the scheme is effective and feasible, and the scheme has a higher value for popularization and application.
