摘要

An efficient fingerprint acquisition card based on 32-bit PCI bus architecture in real time mode is proposed in this paper. The special interface chip PCI 9054 adopted in the card is higher efficient and easier to realize, compared to field-programmable gate array (FPGA) logic. An FPGA with simulated I~2C bus serves as programmable interface between the PCI bus and fingerprint camera. The application-dependent controller functions as well as FIFO and PCI interfacing are handled by FPGA logic. A device driver WDM is developed to achieve high speed by developing tools, DriverStudio. Test results of the acquisition card on MS windows 2000 OS demonstrate its efficiency and perfect performance.
