Deduction and Verification of Reliability Parameters for Solenoid Valve

For the reliability assessment of solenoid valve, firstly, we make out the failure analysis data of solenoid actuator such as FMEA, FTA, and 2-stage QFD, and we analyzed the cause of major failures and the effect of each failure mode through FMEA and FTA, and decided the main test items through 2-stage QFD. And then, for the production of reliability parameters, the MINITAB analysis and marking of Weibull probability paper was performed by use of nine data groups of solenoid valve which were collected from an life test. In this paper, 6 kinds of detailed failure mode analysis and the useful reliability parameters of solenoid valve such as shape parameter, scale parameter were presented. And, as a result of long time experiment, the changed major failure mode of solenoid valve is introduced, and verified the validity of reliability parameters.
