Simulation Studies of Simplified JeJu AC Power System Modeling Including Wind Power Generation by using RTDS

This paper represents the developments of the Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) based simplified JEJU AC power systems including wind generation. First, the background of the developments and their associated technologies, such as RTDS based the detailed JeJu AC power system modeling, are introduced. Then the developed simplified wind generator modeling in RSCAD program is interfaced with the RTDS in order to carry out simulations in real time. At last, for the purpose of accurate simulation, the wind generation study based on the wind velocity has also been developed in this work. After the modeling had been established, the transient analyses with the simulation results have been discussed by using RTDS.
