CAPTIVE POWER AND COGENERATION

Wherever feasible, captive co-generated power generation should be made mandatory. This will help in achieving capacity addition, increased productivity, and reduced cost of production besides theft and losses. The captive co-generators can recover the investment in approximately 5 years of continuous operation. As such captive co-generation should be the mission under accelerated power development program (APDP).
