Analysis of Stress and Strain on Power Station Section of Yellow River Wanjiazhai Hydroproject

Based on stress and strain observing information of power station section on con-crete gravity dam of yellow river Wanjizhai hydroproject, stress and strain of dam body and hydropower plant penstocks and generator buildings is extremely analyzed. By analysis, the rules of stress and strain of dam body and hydropower plant penstocks and generator building and is basically normal, and their value is in the range of designs. But concrete stress and steel plate stress of part of dam body have exceeded standard. It is suggested that the situa-tion of exceeding standard should be confirmed further and monitoring strengthened.
