Recognition of Native Local Foods and Chungmu kimbap in Tongyeong Area

For preservation of the native foods and improvement of the people's health, the study surveyed total of 733 people including 245 males and 488 females to investigate their recognition on the native local foods and Chungmu kimbap of Tongyeong. The followings are the results. In their recognition on the native local foods of Tongyeong, they showed the highest recognition on Chungmu kimbap (31.7%) of main dishes, Dodarissookgoo k(28.4%) of soup kinds, Domijjim(28.5%) of Jjim and Moochim kinds, and Janguhgooi(24.4%) of roasted and Hwe dishes. As for the satisfaction with the native foods, 76.4% of them responded that they were satisfied and the reasons for the satisfaction were freshness(46.6%) and taste(46.1%). The result showed a significant difference depending on age and monthly income. When they were asked if Chungmu kimbap is good as a native local food, most of them(81.0%) said it is good. Also, 64.5% responded that Chungmu kimbap is appropriate as a meal and 56.6% said that they are satisfied with Chungmu kimbap as a meal because of its taste. Most of them responded that there should be 10 pieces(37.9%) or 12 pieces(31.0%) per serving, and it was most preferred by the 40s(36.7%) and the 30s(35.5%). 63.3% of them responded that there should be a standard- recipe for Chungmu kimbap and the result showed a significant difference depending on age and monthly income.
