Development of Chemical Agents Dispersion Models for Countering Chemical Terrorism

摘要

This short review briefly describes some of the developments in the practical and regulatory models for atmospheric dispersion of chemical agents to counter chemical terrorism. The recent research results are covered on the spatial and time dependence of atmospheric flows in both indoors and outdoors. This paper provides the consequences of these developments and the better understanding of dispersion and transportation of chemical agents for assessing the area and duration of hazards associated with chemical agents and providing the baseline information for deciding which statistical sampling, analysis and decontaminating techniques are used to characterize the extent of chemical risks. Approaches are included to provide necessary and even real-time data for decision-makers to meet an emergency rescue and respond rapidly, and with the greatest likelihood of minimizing health risk and collateral damage, to chemical attack. Finally some outstanding issues are mentioned about future application and methodologies concerning the assessment of potential chemical risks
