The Structural Health Monitoring Approach for Stonecutters Bridge

Stonecutters Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with a main-span of 1018m. It has two single-leg towers, each 298m high, and a separated aerodynamic twin-box girder deck. A bridge health monitoring system is devised to monitor the structural health condition of the bridge, not just for its operation stage, but from its construction stage. This paper briefly outlines the approach adopted in implementing structural health monitoring systems for this bridge.
