This article is concerned with population genetic diversity in wild bule honeysuckle( Lonicera caerulea) native to northeastern China based on RAPD technology. 60 plants of 6 populations were used for DNA extraction with the improved SDS process. In PCR amplification, 27 Operon random primers were selected. The total of 186 loci were detected and among them 121 loci were poly-morphoric, accounted for 65. 05% of total loci. The mean polymorphoric percentage of each population was 38. 89% . Much variation was inner populations in the total genetic variation.rnThe relationship between populations was close. The results of RAPD analysis showed that the genetic distance between Yabuli and Yuchi was the smallest and that between Wangqing and Mohe was the largest. According to genetic similarity, the 6 populations could be clustered into 3 groups ; the Boli, Wangqing, Yabuli and Yuchi populations were belonging to the first group; Wuying population was belonging to the second group and Mohe population was belonging to the third group. The Mohe population was genetically furthest from other populations.
