Nitrogen foam flooding technology for enhanced oil recovery wasapplied in Offshore Oilfields of China's Bohai Bay. Experimental studyincluding foam agent evaluation, oil displacement test was conductedto provide parameters for field test. Results of several field testsindicated that the nitrogen foam flooding technology effectively solvedthe problem of interlayer contradictions, and improved the waterflooding development effect. Through the field tests applied in China'sBohai Bay, it showed that 12 out of 13 oil wells in 2 well groups hadobvious positive results, average water cut dropped by 6.3% andcumulative oil reached 20756 m~3 in 8 months up to now, fullyindicating that the nitrogen foam flooding technology, as a prospectiveEOR method, can significantly improve the water flooding effect.
