Personal Health Information (PHI) system is an activity of patient and healthcare providers in order to organize, manage, and integrate the data which refers to medical history and laboratory results. The data is obtained from several providers with different formats which result in separated data in the network without certain format standards. Therefore, this paper aims to design a model for managing the PHI data by relying on the blockchain technology that offers an immutable and single source of truth. Yet, blockchain is still vulnerable from selfish mining attack. We show and analyze the performance of selfish mining attack that might be occurred in the healthcare system. This attack can affect the whole system and influence the miners to join the protocol of selfish mining from the attacker which is more profitable.
