摘要

This paper deals with advanced parametric design approachrnwhich realized in the process of modelling and assembly ofrnbody skeleton of passenger cars. A parameterized model forrnthe body skeleton is created through a programming languagernin terms of the common structural features of passenger cars,rnwhich can be automatically regenerated into another desiredrnmodel as the crucial parameters have been modified. Therernare some significant distinctions between conventional 3Drnsolid modelling - a concrete graphical editing activity, andrnparameterized programmed modelling - an abstractrnalgorithm-construction activity. Constrains, limits andrnrelations of the dimensions have been applied to the model sornas to make it a digital and intelligent one in which the CADrntechnology has been exerted sufficiently as well. Somernprinciples of the features and constraints based on parametricrndesign are also presented. The realization of thisrnparameterized model lays a foundation for the sequentialrnprocesses of FEM analysis, sensitivity analysis, structuralrnoptimization and the product information management, andrnconsequently, it will improve efficiency and reliability for thernbody structural design and will promote serial production ofrnpassenger cars.
